Piedmont Wildlife Center is pleased to announce our Fall Programs!  We are offering nature experiences this autumn for people of all ages.  If you are a child, teen or adult, we have a program for you.  Please visit our new and redesigned Program page. The page is now located at the top bar of this site.

Our Fall programs for kids this year include two new offerings!  We now have Wild for a Day, a teacher workday program for kids on school holidays, and NightCrawl, a special after-dark  games event for kids and teens coming this October. We also have our regular Fall Camps for kids on fall and winter break and for track-out students from Wake county.  If you do not see a camp offered when your child is off school, please let us know.  We may be able to add a camp or teacher workday to our list.

Piedmont Wildlife Center’s Adult Nature and Survival classes are listed from now through December.  Some of these weekend classes are beginning to fill but we still have room available.  Sign up to learn more about fungi, animal tracking, medicinal plants, nature mentoring,  and many other topics. These experiential classes are designed for people of all levels of learning.  We welcome you to come, bring your questions and your curiosity, and steep your senses in the natural world.

We have now launched a new resource for everyone who shares a passion for learning about nature.  Piedmont Naturalists Journal is a new and expanding site where you can post your observations of the natural world and learn more about our local plants and animals.  The journal includes a Nature Mystery page which will be a frequently rotating set of challenges for all nature enthusiasts.  Come to solve our mystery or post one of your own!

We hope you come celebrate the beauty of Autumn with us this year!
