Come Celebrate Spring at the Fourth Annual Festival for Wildlife!

Spring is on its way again and what better way to celebrate than at our Fourth Annual Festival for Wildlife!  This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, May 14th from 11 am to 6 pm at Leigh Farm Park in Durham.  There will be live animals, live music, food, crafts, games, displays, and plenty more to entertain you for the entire day!

Join us for the Paperhand Puppet Parade at 1:30 pm starting at the Honeybee Garden!  Dress up like an animal and join in the fun as we march around Leigh Farm Park and celebrate the wildlife around us!

In addition to all the animal fun, there will be live entertainment all day long!  There will be three stages this year, the Sweetgum Stage, the Creature Features Stage and the new Oak Forest Amphitheater.  Both stages will have music and/or events all day!

There will also be Historic Tours of Leigh Farm Park in the early afternoon.    Tours will be a 12 pm, 12:30 pm and 1 pm.  Interested in a tour? Meet at the Honeybee Garden (map) at least 5 minutes before the scheduled tour time to learn the history of the beautiful land that Piedmont Wildlife Center protects!

Tickets are on sale now! This year, for the first time, you can buy tickets online in advance for a discounted price.  Advance tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for teens, and children 12 and under get in FREE! Day-of prices are $10 for adults, $5 for teens, and again, FREE for children 12 and under.  Whichever way you pay, your ticket contribution will be put towards advancing Piedmont Wildlife Center’s mission of fostering healthy connections among people, wildlife and nature.

So invite your family, friends, and neighbors! Then grab a hat and some shades and come on down to Leigh Farm Park to support a great cause while having a hoot of a time!
